so jealous of my friends this past weekend. lu was in enn-why-see. burps left for brazil (to buy us lacoste shirts :). mel was in chi-town. such jetsetting friends, i tell ya. i had this conversation recently about the perception that waterloo does not have good-looking people, but i tell ya, my set of girlfriends are HOTT. plus they're smart, accomplished, witty, funny and humble.
anyway, while my friends were jetsetting, we got a call, in the middle of our home-made salmon dinner, from dr. honey. that's right! the dude's name is honey, dr. honey. anyway, he hooked us up with sweet tickets to the raptors exhibition game vs. boston. the next day, we went up to the jeff and ryan's cottage up in parry sound. so awesome. just chilled with wine, stories of brazilian ranch tycoons and their helicopter battles and the promise of a good day of motoX-ing for the boys. and jeepin' for me.
the next day, it was like xmas, i tell ya. badass boys and their badass toys. something about ktm, suzukis, enduros or the other brought out the 12 year olds in them. it was so awesome watching them do jumps and stuff. i want to learn. it looks like heaven. ive been told it feels like it, too.
that's the last thing i need - another hobby when i'm broke :)

ive never been more stressed at work. ever. but ive never been happier.

anyway, homecoming aka oktoberfest was again a success - thx to mel.
this year's gone by so fast, i think i might have whiplash.
it seems like last week when i was so excited about "patio weather" then complaining about humidity. now, im like "dude, i need to go to costco to buy socks. my feet are frickinfrozen.

allo. so, its like we've gone from jetsetting to househunting to housewarming to BROKE.
hahaha.
anyway, i just realized that it seems that this is the happiest ive seen ALL my friends thus far. like people are settled, happy with their jobs, happy with their loves/lusts, happy with their homes. happy with their friends and family.
so this is it.
satisfaction.
and mick said we can't get none of it ... pshaw!
i love how we're satisfied but our lives are still so full of energy and busy-ness.
i wake up and it really is a good day everyday. even when it's not.
